December 16, 2019 at 3:39 pmHi, in your pod-cast you talked about how to Christians tend to emphasise Satan with a Capital S,instead of sat-an. You also talked about sat-an the accuser in the book of Job being righteous, as he was obedient to G-d’s will. We the Christian Church, tend to teach that the serpent in Genesis, Satan in Job, and the Anti-Christ in Revelation, as being one and the same i.e. the devil. What do you think? The serpent in the book of Bereshit, was punished for his involvement in the fall of man, which would suggest he was unrighteous, unlike sat-an in the book of Job. Shalom from Paul

January 19, 2020 at 10:32 amThe understanding I follow is that Satan is a general name used for any enemy, as can be seen in the use of the word in Hebrew. The different personas described in Genesis and Job are not the same. While the snake is of the animals of the field, the Satan in Job is part of the angelic assembly.
