September 8, 2019 at 2:58 amI was interested in the section on Hanna. It seemed to me that Hanna had a real Selena. She is in a marriage and she is tormented by the other wife because she is barren. She is barren so she makes a vow. I once heard our Rabbie here in Frederick (I am in a interfaith marriage) say that that this little section tells us more about Davening anywhere else, but dose it also tell us about Vows. And what about Vows? We have no religion I know currently advocating making Vows. Indeed Scripture cautions against making vows and not fulfilling. We do have looking for a Temple. And what about Nazarite vows? Are they THE vows in the Bible? Do Vows require a Temple? Hanna’s Vow was made in connection with the old Tent which preceded the Temple and maybe went into it if we believe Elliot Freedmond. I am enjoying your Podcast now that I’ve found it. Found you initially from Talking Torah. What happened to him?
