Hebrew In Israel | Torah Portion Shelach – Learn Torah

Our focus in this week’s torah portion, Shelach (send), is on the commands to set apart some of our bread dough for YHWH and to wear tzitzit, and the man who collected firewood on Shabbat.

Torah Portion Shelach: Numbers 13:1 – 15:41

Questions and Topics in this Discussion:

  • How Do We Keep the Challah Commandment Today?
  • Tekhelet (Blue) for the Tzitzit
  • Is it “Sons of Israel” or “Children of Israel”?
  • What Exactly Was the Man Punished For?

This Week’s Haftarah

“…she had brought them up to the roof and hidden them under some stalks of flax she had spread out there.”
Haftarah Shelach give us the story of Rahab and the two spies to Jericho.  Yoel and Jono Vandor examine chapters 1-5 in this first episode from our Light Of The Prophets series.
