You said the Torah doesn’t give any commandment about charity, but the commandment about don’t harvesting the edges of your field and leaving it to the poor wouldn’t be considered a kind of charity?

    Very good point. My statement has to do with someone taking from their own possession such as money and giving it. The land however belongs to God and we do not have a say on that.
